Passing the torch and sowing dreams

The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra has always taken upon itself to train new blood in Chinese music in Hong Kong. In so doing, happy seeds are sown, and musical dreams are encouraged to flourish. At the end of their year of training, the budding musicians would welcome the exciting opportunity to showcase what they have learned in the annual concert, Chinese Music Fun! Fun! Fun! Members of the Hong Kong Junior Chinese Orchestra and students of the Instrumental Classes of the HKCO who have been meticulously trained by conductors Kwok Hang Kei, Lo Wai Leung and other HKCO virtuosi, and members of the Hong Kong Junior and Youth Zheng Ensemble, who are trained by guzheng expert Choi Ngar Si, will go on the concert stage to perform. Meticulous mentorship has helped new seeds to sprout and grow every year – they are our future hope in Chinese music, and you are invited to come and show your warm support.
