Doming Lam, honoured as “the father of modern music” in Hong Kong, showed his support for the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra during our incipient years by contributing tremendously to our repertoire.  With his avant-garde vision and compositional techniques, those works have become classics and are popularly received in Hong Kong as well as many parts of the world over the years.  This year marks Maestro Lam’s 90th birthday, so we are going to hold a music party featuring some of his recent chamber works.
